Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Telemetry Unit. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care within an acute care environment.

Scheduled Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights; 1900-0730
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be able to work one holiday from each holiday group, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to all acute care units as needed.

Orientation and Training

• Complete the first two days of orientation, followed by unit training in subsequent days.
• Attend virtual Epic training during the first week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Experience with TR Band’s and cardiac drips, including Heparin, Lasix, and Cardizem.
• Familiarity with the Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process is preferred.
• Preferred experience: 2-5 years in Telemetry nursing.
• Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license and BLS certification are required.
• No new graduates will be considered for this position.
