Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

Unit Information

• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory issues such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction (MI), CV stepdown, post-operative care
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilator Support: Yes, capable of managing chronic ventilators
• Patient Demographics: Adults aged 18 years and older

Shift Information

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Block scheduling not guaranteed)

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Floating: Required as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active New York RN License and verification through NURSYS
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
