• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 1 Year

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS

Shift Information

• Shift Times: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Every third holiday

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 35
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Common Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, Nephrology, Strokes, Diabetes Mellitus, Continuous EEG monitoring
• Titration Responsibilities: Required to titrate drips (e.g., Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications)
• Support Staff: Nurse aides/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20

Daily Responsibilities

The PCU Registered Nurse will be expected to deliver efficient and compassionate care while collaborating with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals. Key attributes for success include:

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, consisting of the first week dedicated to general orientation followed by 1-2 days of unit-specific training.

This position is located in a facility within the vicinity of City, State.

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Non-compliance will result in contract termination. RN candidates will need to pass a mandatory open book exam during orientation, with a minimum passing score of 90% required for continued employment.
