Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg / Telemetry team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MedSurg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate medical records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Perform necessary assessments and evaluations related to patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities.
• Floating to similar units may be required based on patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum of three years of prior experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• Experience with Telemetry monitoring and Meditech systems is required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Orientation

A telemetry competency test will be administered on the first day of orientation to ensure readiness for the role.
