Registered Nurse – Infusion

Position Overview

This position involves working as a Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Infusion Unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The role requires specialized knowledge in infusion therapies and the treatment of various conditions, including oncology, neurology, anemia, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and infusions per established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses during infusion treatments and adjust care as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Utilize technology such as Alaris pumps, elastomeric pumps, and Omnicell systems for medication management.
• Engage in patient education regarding their treatment plans and medications.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Chemotherapy.
• Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion settings.
• Proficient in the use of glucometers and other essential medical equipment.
• Able to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment, handling the administration of blood products and other critical tasks.
