Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU consists of 30 beds and caters to a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, alcohol use/abuse, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced critical care environment.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, utilizing advanced technology and equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit or similar critical care setting.
• Proficient in the use of ventilators and other critical care equipment.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
