Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical unit. This position requires a strong background in neuro nursing, utilizing skills in managing both medical and surgical patients.

Qualifications

• MUST have NIHSS certification included in the candidate profile.
• Neuro experience is REQUIRED.
• Must be a strong Med/Surg nurse with NIHSS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with step-down patients is preferred.
• EPIC proficiency is required; please highlight this on your profile.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is necessary.

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care activities in the Medical/Surgical unit. Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and managing patient conditions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educating patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.
• Participating in unit initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
