Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role requires a commitment to providing quality care to patients and their families during childbirth and postpartum periods. The position includes floating to Medical Surgical (MS) as necessary to assist with overflow patients.

Schedule Details

• Shift: Nights from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required in rotation
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Must be willing to float to Medical Surgical units and care for pediatric patients

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of Labor and Delivery experience in a rural hospital setting
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is highly preferred

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Current RN license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications
• Must have completed a fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months
• Commitment to obtaining PALS certification prior to start date

Additional Information

• This facility is nicotine-free
• Orientation will be held virtually on Mondays
• Credentialing documents are due one week prior to the start date (Monday)
• The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census, providing a minimum two-hour notice. If shifts are canceled, the RN may be required to remain available. Time at home is considered on-call and will be compensated at the on-call rate.
