Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This role requires a dedication to patient care within a high-acuity setting, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their treatment.

Unit Details

The unit encompasses both ICU and IMCU, with the possibility of floating between the two. The nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU is 1-2, while in the IMCU, it is 3-4. Strong neuro experience is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro patients in both ICU and IMCU settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding effectively to changes in status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols and best practices.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro nursing within an ICU or IMCU setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in neuro critical care.
• Current and valid nursing license verification through Nursys.
• Certification in relevant specialties is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
