Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in oncology and expertise in managing patients with sickle cell disease. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our oncology unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical setting, with a focus on oncology patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including chemotherapy.
• Monitor patient conditions and evaluate responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to establish and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options, care plans, and disease management.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license verified through Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, specifically in oncology or similar specialty.
• Chemo certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• No gaps greater than 60 days in work history.
