Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of medical emergencies.

Unit Information

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 64 beds (includes 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Age Groups Treated: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Floating: Required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing with pediatric experience.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Valid driver’s license with an address that matches demographic information.
• Active RN license in NY and other states as applicable, verified through NURSYS Report.
• EMR experience required: EPIC.
