Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Nursing)

Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Unit Information

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Flexible scheduling)
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psychiatric beds
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment Used: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Floating Requirement: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience preferred
• Current nursing licenses including an active New York License and all RN licenses
• Up-to-date certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Travel experience is required
• Ability to handle charge duties is highly preferred
• Driver’s license with an address matching demographics is required
