Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Patient Age Range: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), 6 psychiatric

Shift Information

• Shift: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Floating Requirement: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, including some pediatric experience.
• Documented travel nursing experience is required.
• Current certifications required: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (must be in hand).
• Current active NY license and all registered nurse licenses must be verified through NURSYS.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system: EPIC.
