Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (PCU)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role is essential in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients within a 28-bed unit specializing in cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain.
• Administer cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4.
• Occasionally care for patients in telemetry beds with lower acuity levels.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar sized facility, with documented PCU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
