Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The role will involve providing high-quality patient care and support for individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory issues, and more.

Unit Information

Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds

Patient Demographics

• Age range: 18 years and older

Common Diagnoses

• Neurology
• Cardiology
• Trauma
• Respiratory issues such as COPD
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Sepsis
• Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Cardiovascular stepdown
• Post-operative care

Specialty Equipment

• Temporary pacemakers
• Chest tubes
• Arterial lines
• Bipap machines
• Neptune Vapo

Additional Details

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Floating: Required across units as needed

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Intermediate Care or Progressive Care Units (IMCU/PCU)
• EMR Experience: EPIC
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active RN licenses, including a current license in New York
