Surgical Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Nurse to join our team. The position involves working in a variety of surgical specialties, and the ideal candidate should have extensive experience in specific areas outlined below.

Schedule Details

• Shift: Night Shift
• Hours: 3 x 12s, 1830-0630
• Days: Tuesday to Thursday

Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following specialties:

• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgery: including tracheostomy, airway management, head/neck flap procedures, and soft tissue cases
• Neurosurgery: including burr holes and craniotomy
• Surgical Oncology: including robotic surgeries

Preferred Experience

Experience in a Level I trauma center is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas or a Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to float to all Operating Rooms (ORs)
• No weekend commitments required
• No on-call responsibilities during night shifts
• Holidays are not mandated; if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, subsequent pay periods will reflect the holiday pay hours

Orientation

• In-person orientation on Monday and Tuesday
• Bi-weekly nursing orientation and EPIC training from Wednesday to Friday

Work Environment

This is a nicotine-free facility. Staff can expect bi-weekly pay and an 8-hour no-bill orientation. Please note that two cancellations per month are allowed with at least a 2-hour notice.
