Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical (Nursing)

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical unit will provide care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. This role requires a strong background in both neuro and med/surg nursing, along with the ability to manage complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• Must have Neuro experience.
• Strong background in medical/surgical nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records is necessary.
• Ability to provide a work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• References from previous employers, certification card, and Nursys license verification must be included in the application profile.
