Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess neuro experience and demonstrate strong capabilities in providing exceptional patient care. This role requires a commitment to serving patients with various needs, particularly those in the neuro unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro and medical/surgical nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work weekends and non-block scheduling.
