Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg / Telemetry unit. This is an admission unit that caters to general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

This unit consists of 10 beds and is designed for rapid patient admissions, featuring a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced admission unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal care.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as per established protocols.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg / Telemetry nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a demanding environment.
• Valid nursing license with Nursys verification.
