Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. This unit focuses on the admission of general medical and surgical patients who are awaiting procedures. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg and Telemetry setting.
• Assist with the rapid admission and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Educate patients and their families about ongoing care and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• No gaps greater than 60 days in work history.
• Skills checklist, references, Nursys license verification, and certification card must be provided.

Patient Care Environment

This position is located in a 10-bed admission unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. The rapid turnover of patients requires adaptability and efficiency in nursing care.

Location

Candidate will be working at a facility located in a city within the state.
