Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This position involves working with a variety of patients, including those requiring admission for general medical and surgical care. The unit is fast-paced, with a quick patient turnover, making it essential for candidates to communicate effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Assist in the rapid admission and discharge of patients on a busy unit.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MedSurg/Telemetry specialty.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Patient Care

This role involves managing a patient ratio of 5:1, allowing for focused and individualized care to each patient. Candidates must be adept at handling various medical conditions and surgical patients awaiting procedures.
