Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

The MedSurg/Telemetry unit is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team. This unit serves as an admission area for general medical and surgical patients who are awaiting surgery. Given the nature of the unit, candidates must be capable of clear communication and demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 10-bed unit.
• Manage a patient load with a ratio of 5:1.
• Coordinate rapid admissions and discharges of patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• No gaps greater than 60 days in work history/resume.
• Completion of a skills checklist relevant to the specialty.
• Professional references available upon request.
• Verification of nursing license through Nursys.
