Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This role involves caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

This unit has a 10-bed capacity and operates as an admission unit where patient turnover is rapid. The typical patient ratio is 5:1 for MedSurg RNs, ensuring an engaging yet manageable workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
• Assist in the admission process of patients and coordinate their care plans as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry specialty.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Ability to provide a Skills Checklist, professional references, and a Nursys license verification.
