Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg-Telemetry unit dealing with general medical and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Manage rapid patient admissions and turnover effectively.
• Ensure compliance with medical standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.

Patient Ratios

The patient-to-nurse ratio on this unit is typically 5-6 patients per Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg or Telemetry nursing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
• No employment history gaps greater than 60 days.
