Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/Telemetry team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring safe, effective nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the MedSurg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care processes.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. Employees will work every other weekend and be required to work every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing.
• Telemetry and Meditech experience required.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Telemetry competency test on the first day of orientation. Compliance with the 2024/2025 flu vaccine policy is mandatory prior to starting the position.
