Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical unit. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Details

• Start Date: ASAP (10/18)
• Orientation Schedule:
  • Virtual orientation on Monday
  • Unit training for the rest of the week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Scheduled Hours: 12-hour shifts from 0645 to 1915
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month
• Holiday Requirement: Required as needed in rotation
• Floating Requirement: May float within scope of practice

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical experience in a hospital setting
• Preferred Experience: Proficiency with intravenous therapies such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• New Graduates: Not accepted

Licensure and Certification

• Valid RN license in Kansas or Compact state
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are encouraged to apply but are expected to convert to permanent after the first contract.
• This facility is nicotine-free.
• The facility allows a maximum of 2 cancellations per month with a minimum of 2 hours’ notice.
