Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg / Telemetry team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary experience and qualifications to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MedSurg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding effectively to any changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct patient education and support throughout the treatment process.
• Be prepared to float to similar units as needed, based on patient care requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ARC or AHA).
• A minimum of 3 years of prior MedSurg/Telemetry experience is required.
• Experience with Meditech software is mandatory.
• Telemetry experience is preferred, with a telemetry competency assessment conducted on the first day of orientation.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to working three 12-hour shifts per week, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Candidates should expect to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
