Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Overview

Join our dedicated nursing team in a 32-bed unit specializing in care for adult and older adult populations. Our team provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with varying medical needs, including trauma cases and those requiring acute medication management.

Unit Details

• 32-bed unit focused on MedSurg and Telemetry
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Experienced with trauma patients and Heparin drips
• Utilization of EPIC EMR for patient documentation
• Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Administering medications and IV therapy as ordered
• Providing patient assessments and developing care plans
• Monitoring vital signs and responding to patient needs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participating in patient education and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Documented experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing
• Completion of a nursing checklist prior to employment
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and/or NICHE training is a plus

Mandatory Holiday Coverage

All travel nurses will be required to work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving. Additionally, travelers must work either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day OR New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
