Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Medical/Surgical nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments, including Cardizem and Insulin drips as required.
• Monitor patient progress and vital signs, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with protocols.
• Be prepared to participate in floating to other facilities within the region on an emergency basis as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or valid Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting with a medical/surgical focus.
• Advanced telemetry experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Recent charge or manager RN references.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Cerner.
• Familiarity with administering Phenobarbital on telemetry is beneficial.

Additional Information

This position includes night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Applicants must submit all documentation upon application, and include required information such as RTO (request time off).
