Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in MedSurg and Telemetry to join our dynamic team. This position involves working in a fast-paced admission unit, providing care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the MedSurg and Telemetry unit.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Manage patient admissions and ensure timely and efficient turnover.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care and progress accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg or Telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Resume with consistent work history and no gaps greater than 60 days.
• References and certification documentation required.

Patient Care Information

The typical patient load ratio is 5-6:1 for MedSurg RNs, allowing for focused and comprehensive care within a rapid admission environment.
