Job Description:

This position involves working in a medical-surgical unit where the nurse will be responsible for patient care and management, including but not limited to performing assessments, attending to wounds, managing tracheostomies and ostomies, and handling post-op procedures on a diverse patient population that may sometimes require dialysis or PCA pumps.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care, including handling wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes.
• Administer Heparin drip as needed.
• Assist with post-op procedures such as amputations, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, and wound vacs.

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Able to manage patients with dialysis or PCA pumps.
