Registered Nurse – Infusion

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Infusion Unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients receiving outpatient infusion therapy. This role requires expertise in administering various treatments, including chemotherapy, and managing patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer intravenous therapies and medications per physician’s orders.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
• Utilize technology and equipment such as EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, glucometers, Alaris pumps, and elastomeric pumps in patient care.
• Participate in blood product administration and other essential nursing duties as required.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy Certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion nursing.
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This position is located in a fast-paced outpatient infusion unit in City, State.

Shift Information

This role is structured as a 5×8 day shift.
