ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

Join a fast-paced, 30-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) dedicated to providing high-quality care for critically ill patients. Our unit specializes in managing complex cases, including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, alcohol use disorders, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, monitoring their condition and implementing treatment plans.
• Manage and operate ventilators and other advanced medical equipment.
• Perform regular assessments and document patient progress effectively.
• Administer medications as per physician orders, ensuring proper medication management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an intensive care setting.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Expertise in critical care nursing principles and practices.
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
