ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), which boasts 30 beds dedicated to managing critically ill patients. The patient population includes a diverse range of medical conditions such as:

• Sepsis
• Heart failure
• Hypertensive emergencies
• Respiratory failure
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Chronic kidney disease
• Type 2 diabetes mellitus (TDM2)
• Alcohol use and abuse
• Substance abuse
• Status epilepticus
• Encephalopathy

Responsibilities

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients.
• Utilizing advanced monitoring equipment, including ventilators.
• Conducting thorough assessments and implementing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participating in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in an ICU setting.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
