Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a full-time position within the Emergency Department, requiring a commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Nights and mids available
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends per 4-week scheduling period
• Holiday requirement: As needed on a rotational basis

On-Call Requirement

1-2 shifts per 4-week scheduling period in addition to regular weekly shifts.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Review patient history and physical information in collaboration with the patient and family, ensuring timely completion.
• Evaluate available data from other healthcare team members and clinical diagnostics.
• Report abnormal laboratory results to physicians and relevant caregivers.
• Complete patient assessments and reassessments as necessary, following established policies.
• Formulate a comprehensive plan of care, incorporating the discharge plan, through evaluation and assessment data along with input from the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Establish realistic and measurable goals for patient care in collaboration with the patient and their family.
• Address physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age-specific, and educational needs of the patient throughout the care process.

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience.
• Current nursing license.
