Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized nursing care to adult patients with conditions such as CHF, ARF, hepatitis, and other critical diagnoses. This role requires monitoring and assessment, as well as responding to patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, blood product administration, and insulin drips management.
• Effective communication, thorough physical assessments, and strong clinical judgment.
• Adaptability and a positive team-player attitude are essential.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Tele RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing.
