Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. This role focuses on managing acute cardiac patients who have undergone invasive cardiac procedures, as well as patients experiencing chest pain and other acute illnesses.

Shift and Schedule

• Shift Times: 1900-0730
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday Requirement: Required

Unit Description

The unit consists of three sections totaling 59 beds, with staffing for 45 beds. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, and there are 1-2 patient care technicians on each unit, depending on the census and acuity levels.

• 4 North: 28 beds
• 4 South (Cardiac Observation Unit): 18 beds
• 4 East: 13 beds

• GE Heart Monitors
• Masimo Vital Sign Machines
• Stryker Beds

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with an agreement to obtain a BSN within 5 years
• 1 Year of RN Hospital Experience
• Kansas State Registered Nurse License
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Experience with TR Band required
