Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures. This role involves employing critical thinking skills, assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring patient progress, and recording relevant observations. The nurse will also delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a collaborative team member to achieve unit goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a commitment to obtain one within five years of employment
• Current state of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• At least two years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department (ED), or Trauma unit
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS, or the ability to obtain them within three months
• TNCC certification is preferred
