Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Psychiatric unit, specializing in child and adolescent care, as well as adult patients. The role includes working with pediatric patients and managing diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and psychosis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and administer medications.
• Execute physical restraints and verbal de-escalation when necessary.
• Conduct group didactic sessions and ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Administer shots, conduct minor wound care, and perform EKGs and screenings.

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved nursing education program; RN license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• BLS and CPI certifications (preferred prior to start).
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, with skills in communication, patient safety, and team nursing approach.
