Position Overview

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering safe and evidence-based care within the emergency department. This position involves the complete nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Shift Details

• Full-time position
• Nights – 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Every-other holiday requirement, with holidays assigned and rotated annually
• May float to other units within the scope of practice

Minimum Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) Compact or Kansas state license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through RQI will be provided upon hire
• Tactical Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification to be obtained within six months of hire
• Entry-level position open to new graduates
