Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to manage both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, employee satisfaction, community engagement, and financial viability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operations of a hospital-based physical therapy clinic.
• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Support medical staff and engage in interdisciplinary team functions.
• Promote a collaborative team atmosphere and encourage professional development among staff.
• Optimize revenue streams and manage departmental expenses effectively.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.
• Coordinate an orthopedic specialty field clinic, overseeing all referrals.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance administrative processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of full-time patient care experience; prior managerial experience preferred.
• Licensure: Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Skills and Abilities

• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and documentation. Proficient in writing professional correspondence and presenting information effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic mathematics and able to interpret graphs and perform basic calculations.
• Computer Skills: Ability to generate and edit professional documents and presentations using software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to solve problems and follow detailed instructions in various situations.

Work Environment

This role may involve working in various environments including standard physical therapy departments and village-based clinics where travel is conducted in small, non-pressurized planes.
