Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in a nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to the rehabilitation process and support residents in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans for residents.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic activities and interventions.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting strategies as needed under the guidance of an occupational therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on therapeutic techniques and safety practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant certification.
• Current New York state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility is required.

Work Schedule

This position follows a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including Saturdays.
