Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serves as a vital member of the patient care team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and following the guidance of the unit director. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding patient information.

General Duties

• Deliver nursing care to patients as directed by the RN and unit director.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures for patient care.
• Maintain compliance with laws and regulations regarding patient information.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Practical Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current Kansas Practical Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Requirements

• Two years of experience in an acute care setting.
• IV Certification.
