Shift Information

Variable shifts available, totaling 8 hours per shift. Options include days, evenings, or nights.

Minimum Experience Required

Two years of relevant experience in laboratory settings.

Certifications/Requirements

• Laboratory Certifications from NCA or ASCP required.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the laboratory manager, the Medical Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory tests, conducting quality control procedures, and effectively communicating with physicians, nurses, and patients.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
• Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year of employment.
• One to three years of progressively responsible experience in chemistry, blood banking, hematology, and microbiology or relevant formal clinical internship experience.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the National Accrediting Agency (NCA) must be achieved within one year of employment.
• Experience with clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Ability to perform as a laboratory generalist.
• Capable of working independently and providing guidance to Medical Laboratory Assistants.

Housing and Travel Information

Please note that private housing is not provided. Housing will be in shared units, and no pets are allowed. Airfare may be paid initially by the candidate and will be reimbursed upon arrival at the specified location. Candidates are required to submit their flight itinerary at least one week in advance for scheduling purposes.
