Cytotechnologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team for a temporary position based in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cytotechnology and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytological examinations and evaluations of specimens.
• Utilize appropriate techniques and methods to analyze samples.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of findings and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Schedule

This position requires availability Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. A total of 16 hours will be non-billable orientation hours before the start of the contract.

Contract Length

The initial contract duration is 6 weeks.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in cytotechnology.
• At least 2 travel assignments completed.
• Ability to work primarily alone in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Certified by ASCP as a Cytotechnologist (CT).
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.

Client-Specific Notes

All credentials must be submitted by the Thursday before the start date.

Payroll Information

Payroll will be processed on a biweekly basis.
