Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. This role is critical for the accurate and efficient operation of our laboratory services, with a specific focus on core laboratory functions and some statistical microbiology.

Work Schedule

• 4×10 hour shifts
• Day shift with variable start times around 8 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and analyses with precision and accuracy.
• Adhere to quality control protocols to ensure the reliability of test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate test results.
• Work efficiently under pressure, especially in fast-paced environments.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or allied health technologies or equivalent is required.
• Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of employment is required.
• Current certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA) is preferred.
