Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, performing diagnostic testing such as ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, cardiac, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry, as well as transporting patients within the hospital or between facilities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments, create care plans, and modify therapy plans as needed.
Perform diagnostic tests including ABG’s, PFT’s, EKG’s, and cardiac evaluations.
Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities.
Provide on-call coverage as required by department policy.

Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP).
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and CRT.
At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and experience with adults and newborns is preferred.
