Shift: Days – Monday – Friday 6a-2:30p – on call/callback, holidays, weekends per unit needs

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia including preparation and maintenance of equipment, set-up of medications and supplies, and communication with anesthesiologists. Provide specialized support and operate sophisticated medical equipment while assisting with difficult procedures and offering on-call support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in patient care and anesthesia equipment preparation.
• Operate cell-saver machine and provide on-call support.
• Ensure preventative maintenance of anesthesia equipment.
• Assist in training programs and staff development.
• Perform set-up and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment.
• Set up rooms and carts throughout the day.
• Provide backup to shift supervisor as needed.

Requirements:

• BLS certification.
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech.
• A four-year college education with technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certification by a recognized professional certifying body preferred.
