Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with a primary medical condition and a secondary psychiatric diagnosis. The RN will be part of a MedSurg/Telemetry team, handling a range of medical conditions that require specialized monitoring and nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a MedSurg/Tele unit, specializing in patients with mental illness.
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for charting and patient management.
• Collaborate with behavioral health techs and security for patient safety.
• Maintain a sterile field and participate in staff rotation for weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• Active RN license and willing to wait for License to Submit.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance.
• Must meet a 50-mile radius rule and provide a Driver’s License as proof.
