Unit Information

The Trauma Telemetry unit features a dynamic and supportive team environment.

• Number of Beds: 36
• Number of Staff: 50+
• Staffing Structure:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 Sitters
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 Sitters
• Current Ratios:
  • Day Shift RN: 1:5/6
  • Night Shift RN: 1:6/7
• Equipment: Medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), VC150s in every patient room, Workstations on Wheels for every staff member, and Tap and Go for documentation access.
• EMR System: Cerner

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience in Medical Telemetry
• Preferred Skills:
  • Leadership Experience
  • Charge Nurse Experience
  • BSN

Typical Procedures

The unit primarily prepares patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room procedures.

Scrubs must be navy blue, white tops paired with navy blue bottoms, or all white.

Availability

Staff must sign up for six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shift rotations.

Experience Requirement

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
